A quick round-up of the recognition our cattle and recording have earned over the last two years.
- 2023 Elite Regional Awards: Silver for The Blackstone Beef Project.
- 2024 SA Stud Book Elite Cows: Silver for BLK 140257, a Smashing Stuff 103 daughter in our Primeston herd, and Bronze for Duncraggan Duchess 317 (BLK 150317).
Elite cow status is earned on the figures: regular calving and heavy, well-grown calves, year after year. It is exactly what we select for, so it is very pleasing to see two of our cows recognised.
Allistair also now serves on the council of the Beef Shorthorn Cattle Breeders’ Society.
